Our approach
A public news site should not require precise movement, perfect vision, or one device type. Semantic structure, readable contrast, and keyboard navigation are core product requirements.
This approach aligns with current U.S. accessibility guidance for public-facing web content.
Accounts remain optional
Registration is not required to read public coverage. Readers who encounter a barrier in sign-in, profile upload, preference management, export, or deletion can still unsubscribe through the link in an editorial email.
A profile image is optional and a generic account image is available. Profile details and social links may be left blank, and profile visibility starts off.
Limits and future work
IndoPac has not completed a full accessibility audit. We cannot guarantee that every browser, assistive technology, or future feature will be free of barriers.
Account forms, hosted authentication, profile-image uploads, and email rendering depend in part on browsers, mail clients, and service-provider interfaces. IndoPac will test the paths it controls and address identified barriers as the service evolves.
